Patrick Fahey, an NAEA member for more than 40 years, passed away on April 19, 2022. Fahey served on the NAEA Board of Directors as Pacific Region Vice President, 2012–2014. He earned two MA degrees, one in art education and the other in fiber art and design, from the University of Iowa, as well as a PhD in art teacher education from the same university. Fahey taught briefly at Moorhead State University in Minnesota, before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he taught at Colorado State University until his retirement in December 2020. He earned many awards and authored numerous publications; and his students and community remember him for his warmth, wisdom, and kindness.
