NAEA Women’s Caucus Awards

It is not too early to consider submitting nominations for one or more of our Interest Group’s annual awards: the June King McFee Award, the Mary J. Rouse Award, the Kathy Connors Award, the Maryl Fletcher de Jong Service Award, and the Carrie Nordlund Award.

Any member of the NAEA Women’s Caucus may submit nominations.

While we are looking to streamline the process for submitting nominations and application materials, the overall guidelines on eligibility and criteria for each award will remain the same and can be reviewed here.

More information regarding the submission process will be available in the coming months.

WC Board Updates

Please welcome Erica Davis-Hernandez as our new K12 Liaison. Thank you to outgoing K12 Liaison Jody Boyer for your service!

Voting

Proposal: Change the name of our NAEA Interest Group to Coalition for Feminisms in Art Education (CFAE).

Voting will be open through August 20, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST.

Current members of the Women’s Caucus received a link to the ballot via email in July. Email naeawc1973@gmail.com with any questions.

To JOIN THE WOMEN’S CAUCUS, login to the NAEA site and click on “Join Interest Groups” in the left column. Click “Purchase New Subscription” at the lower right corner. You will find the Women’s Caucus membership choices on the second page of Interest Groups.
